SAN CARLOS CITY, Pangasinan – The Schools Division of Ilocos Sur official delegates to the 2023 Region 1 Athletic Association (R1AA) Meet were greeted with a ‘magical’ Welcome Party immediately after their arrival at Doyong National High School, May 13.

The Ilocos Sur delegates led by Schools Division Superintendent Joel B. Lopez thronged at the jungle safari-themed venue where they were accorded an amiable reception with a welcome dance from the teaching and non-teaching personnel of the host school.

Moreover, the delegation was also treated with live performances from mascot and clowns. Over 500 stuff toys accompanied with snacks were also given away to all student-athletes of Ilocos Sur.

Other notables in attendance included Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Nestor Herana, Curriculum Implementation Division Chief Jose P. Bueno, School Governance and Operations Division Chief Philip John Gregory Aldos, Legal Officer III Atty. Percival Nicholas Tan, Administrative Officer V Lysander Espejo, Education Program Supervisors and School Principal Johnny M. Pascua.

The whole delegation will be in town until May 19, 2023.
